burnt out by Acrylicdreams burnt out by Acrylicdreams
I had the idea of this in Febuary, when I was working on a CD Cover. Two days ago I found the time to start with it in the evening and I have finished it today. (it took about 10 or 12 hours I think).

Acrylics on canvas, 16" x 12"

Fullview please!

Awesome dimension! It really looks like the globe is suspended above the background, and like the burning ember is stuck within that. Very, very cool painting.

This makes no sense to me at all. That doesn't stop me me being fascinated by and loving it! Great stuff. :) :earth:

Thanks!
But why "no sense"?
I thought, the meaning is obvious, it's a symbol for our earth being exploited (or "burnt out") by humans.

Erm, because I'm so retarded I didn't actually even notice that it was the Earth! Even more awesome! :) :earth:

Hehe, doesn't matter. Maybe it's not that obvious because of the lattice- or branch-like structure between the continents.
Thanks again!

these organs and bones which you are painting and giving specific titles that are morbid appear to be done fantastically.

you should truly consider them all a series.

So disturbing and thought provoking but also skillfully painted. I like the bouncing effect. It's what caught my attention in the first place. Well done!

I feel bad for oceania. Its, non-existant in this world that you've created.

you´re wrong - it´s hidden behind the northern half of South America! (right where it has to be)

Ah. I suppose you're right. I wasn't trying to insult your geography skills, just pointing out that in a world where we're just barely hanging on, like this one, there are no small landforms or islands. and thats sad because islands are important.
