The Picture of Dorian Grayby ~Acrylicdreams

Traditional Art / Paintings / Macabre & Horror

This is a cover for a German Metal band called Xiron.
They wanted me to do a painting based on the story "The Picture of Dorian Gray" written by Oscar Wilde in the 19th century.
They left me nearly total freedom (I just had to hit the topic) and only added the idea of that foggy ghost/demon faces in the dark areas.

Acrylics on cardboard, 37 cm x 38 cm (maybe 20 to 25 hours of painting)

I always refer to this book, teasing, when someone seems amazingly younger than their age! I tell them they have a painting in their attic that ages, but they don't!
