I think this is my 2nd or 3rd abstract painting ever - and in fact it's not totally abstract, hehe. I just started without having certain shapes or things in mind and after a very abstract background was finished, I just added some brushstrokes to give it more depth and food for your imagination.

Very interesting palette... It looks really mysterious to me. I need to get over my hesitation with using strong contrasts in values and color, they seem to be what tends to bring out the reality of what is being drawn.
