2 faces of our world pt. 2 by Acrylicdreams 2 faces of our world pt. 2 by Acrylicdreams
I´ve painted this over 2 years ago, the second part. I still like the idea of it.
It took a lot of time, about 45 hours
acrylics on watercolour cardboard, 35 cm x 30 cm (about 14" x 12")

Here´s the first part: acrylicdreams.deviantart.com/a…

Btw, you can buy prints of it here and on my homepage: www.markusvesper.de

ORIGNAL SOLD

(but you could still buy publishing licences for this image)

2 faces of our world pt. 2 by *Acrylicdreams: The doors between worlds looks like something from Stephen King's Dark Tower, while the colouring tehnique of this piece shows a bit of Dali. The more important is the message behind it, but it's on the viewers to look for it for themselves. Also check out 2 faces of our world pt. 1, the other face of our world. A truly saddening message; the message that the image we see inside the poor statue is what our world is on the road to looking like(and it already somewhat does.) I wish people and nature could coexist without so much destruction. I wish Earth could stay like the beautiful nature seen in this image, and nothing would ever harm it.

Wow. This picture delivers its message instantly and it feels heart-wrenching. The portal is horrid and mesmerizing - this is the sort of conceptual portal that would need to be opened, but which stirs just as much agony as the face expresses. This piece is magical.
